Domaine de Chevalier

Its winegrowing heritage dates back to the early 16th century. The very name "Domaine" is one of the legacies of this long history. It has been deliberately preserved by successive owners, who have always preferred it to the more recent term "Château".

Nestled within a preserved forest environment tempering climatic extremes, the vineyard rests on a mosaic of deep clay and gravel soils. The character of Domaine de Chevalier's wines emanates from this singular terroir.

Acquired in 1983 by the Bernard family, France's leading producer of brandies and a major Bordeaux fine wine merchant, the estate has since been managed by Olivier Bernard and his team. Under his guidance, more than forty vintages have been crafted in a spirit of balance, finesse and elegance.

Today, Domaine de Chevalier Rouge ranks among the finest Classified Growths of Bordeaux. Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is recognised as one of the world's greatest dry white wines.
