Domaine de Chevalier

Pessac-Léognan

FAMILLE BERNARD

Domaine de Chevalier is a very ancient estate located in Léognan, the capital of the Graves region.

A STORY

In a few words

It was designated as “Chibaley” (the Gascon word for chevalier) on the 1763 map produced by the engineer Pierre de Belleyme.

Chevalier’s successive owners have never abandoned the name of “domaine” in favour of the more recent term “château”, reflecting the estate’s long history.

In 1983, Domaine de Chevalier was acquired by the Bernard family, leading French producers of wine spirits and major Bordeaux wine merchants. Since then, Chevalier has been managed by Olivier Bernard, who makes it his mission to perpetuate the balance, finesse and elegance of this outstanding wine.

Domaine de Chevalier red is one of the jewels of the Bordeaux great growths. Domaine de Chevalier white is one of the world’s greatest dry white wines.
