Pauillac

VIGNOBLES CRUSE-LORENZETTI

Château Pédesclaux was founded in 1810 by Urbain Pierre Pédesclaux, a wine merchant in Bordeaux.

A STORY

In a few words

In 1892, the Pédesclaux family sold the estate to the Count of Gastebois, who, a few years later, entrusted its management to Lucien Jugla. The Jugla family became the owners in 1965 and retained ownership of the château until 2009, when it was purchased by the Lorenzetti family.

Since then, the estate has been modernised and has established itself as a benchmark for quality amongst the Pauillac Grands Crus Classés. The Lorenzetti family also owns Château Lilian Ladouys (Saint-Estèphe), Château Lafon-Rochet (Saint-Estèphe), acquired in 2021, and 50% of Château d’Issan (Margaux).

Significant groundwork has been undertaken in the vineyard, alongside the construction of a new gravity-fed winery and the renovation of the château, carried out by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte.

In 2025, Félix Pariente-Lorenzetti joined the estates as president of Châteaux Pédesclaux, Lafon-Rochet and Lilian Ladouys, with the aim of developing visitor facilities across the estates
