Château La Tour Figeac

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

FAMILLE RETTENMAIER

Located on the famous gravelly soils of Saint-Emilion, Château La Tour Figeac was created in 1879, the date when it became separated from Château Figeac. The fact that it has belonged to the privileged group of classified great growths since 1955 confirms the quality of both its terroir and its wines.

A STORY

In few words

The Rettenmaier family has ensured the destiny of the estate since 1973. Convinced that only the natural balance of the vines can produce high-quality grapes, they manage the vineyard according to the principles of eco-friendly viticulture, with the estate being organically certified since 2021.

All decisions in the vineyard and cellar depend on the specificities of the vintage and, since 1997, following the advice of Derenoncourt SARL (J. Lavenu).

The resulting wines are smooth and elegant with distinctive notes of violet, eucalyptus and mint.
