Domaine
de Chevalier

Pessac Léognan
Cru Classé de Graves
S.C. Domaine de Chevalier - the Bernard family
Located in Léognan, capital of the Graves, Domaine de Chevalier is a very ancient estate. It was designated as “Chibaley” (the Gascon word for chevalier) on the famous 1783 map produced by engineer Pierre de Belleyme.

The fact that Chevalier has never abandoned the name of “domaine” in favour of the more recent appellation “château” is proof of the estate’s long history.

In 1983, Domaine de Chevalier was acquired by the Bernard family, leading French producers of industrial alcohol and major Bordeaux wine merchants.

Chevalier has been managed since then by Olivier Bernard, who perpetuates the spirit of harmony and quest for perfection that has long characterized this superb wine.

Domaine de Chevalier rouge is one of the leading wines in the
Pessac-Léognan appellation and one of the finest classed growths of Bordeaux. Domaine de Chevalier blanc is recognized as one of the greatest dry white wines in the world.
