S.C.E Château La Pointe

Château La Pointe has undergone a real revival in recent years. In 2008, a detailed soil study helped to reclaim the nuances of the terroir, express the full potential of the vineyard and reconnect the estate with its prestigious past. The 2011 vintage epitomises the château’s restored identity.

A STORY

In a few words

The entire team got involved to facilitate the development of the estate’s cultural practices: vineyard operations adapted to the soil, green fertiliser, cover crops, preserving biodiversity, eco-grazing. These newfound natural methods have given a new lease of life to the soil, re-energised the vines and improved the wine’s balance, as shown by the vintages from 2019 onwards.

Gentle extraction, carefully managed barrel ageing and respectful winemaking are the watchwords. Merlot – the predominant grape variety – and Cabernet Franc are always delicately balanced to enhance their freshness and elegance.
