Château La Lagune

Haut-Médoc

Famille FREY

Before it was transformed into a wine estate in 1587, Château La Lagune was nothing more than a village built around natural waterholes.

A STORY

In a few words

The majestic manor house was built between 1730 and 1855. That year, the estate was ranked a third growth in the 1855 classification, a superb distinction which it owes to a first-rate terroir: one of the finest gravelly hilltops in the southern Médoc, bestowing its Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot with a unique balance of power and elegance. The lively fruity notes add an elegant touch to the silkiness and depth of this wine. It is the perfect expression of its ecosystem, enhanced by Caroline Frey’s biodynamic philosophy, and the fine-tuned plot-by-plot selection she lovingly refines thanks to a high-performance vat room and cellar. This Biodyvin-certified wine has stood the test of time, exuding real inner strength.
