In 1926, Château Kirwan came into the hands of the Schÿler family. Settled in Bordeaux in 1739, they have managed the oldest family-run wine merchant house ever since. With the help of oenologist and agronomist Philippe Delfaut, appointed Managing Director in 2007, they launched a major investment programme.
Today, these efforts have paid off with precise, distinctive wines that faithfully reflect the terroir of Château Kirwan.
The estate is nestled in a green haven, with century-old trees, a fish pond and an Impressionist rose garden. Alongside its undeniable charm, the estate’s grounds provide an ecosystem closely linked to winegrowing activities. All these assets help make Château Kirwan a leader in wine tourism.
