In 2021, Matthieu Gufflet, a Bordeaux entrepreneur and founder of the Terres de Natures label, became the majority shareholder of Château Guiraud. Bringing together a constellation of wine estates and hospitality venues united by a shared conviction – to put nature back at the centre – he is steering the estate towards a contemporary and vibrant vision of Sauternes, characterised by the great freshness of a controlled sweetness and enhanced by two gourmet restaurants, La Chapelle de Guiraud (Bib Gourmand) and Le Cercle Guiraud (1 Michelin star). Undoubtedly a land of white wines, gold and fine dining.
