Château de Pez

Saint-Estèphe

M. FREDERIC ROUZAUD, MAISON DE CHAMPAGNE LOUIS ROEDERER

Château de Pez is one of the oldest wine estates in the appellation, dating back to 1452.

A STORY

In a few words

Initially a hunting lodge, Domaine de Pez established itself as a winegrowing estate over time. In the 18th century, the estate underwent an architectural transformation to become a château.

In 1995, the Louis Roederer Champagne House took over the estate and carried out a major renovation project in the vineyards and cellar. 2018 marked a new beginning, with the installation of state-of-theart stainless-steel vats to fine-tune winemaking on a plot-by-plot basis.

Located north of the town of Saint-Estèphe, the vineyard consists of 42 hectares of vines on gravelly soil atop a clay-limestone bedrock, overlooking the Gironde Estuary. The wines of Château de Pez are round, classy, and elegant with a beautiful tannic structure.

They reveal themselves over time thanks to their excellent ageing potential.
