Château d’Armailhac

Pauillac

BARONNE PHILIPPINE DE ROTHSCHILD G.F.A

A great growth in the 1855 classification, Château d’Armailhac adjoins Château Mouton Rothschild to the north and benefits from south-facing sun exposure.

A STORY

In a few words

The estate’s 76 hectares of vines have an average age of 40 years and stretch across three rises, thus benefiting from all the typical characteristics of the Pauillac appellation. Château d’Armailhac owes its name to the Armailhacq family who purchased it in 1660. In 1933, Baron Philippe de Rothschild (1902-1988) acquired the estate before later handing it over to his daughter, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild (1933-2014). Today, Baroness Philippine’s three children, Camille and Philippe Sereys de Rothschild and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild, maintain their ancestors’ legacy. Château d’Armailhac is a fine wine characteristic of the Pauillac appellation, with an unwavering elegant classicism and a solid and refined tannic structure.
