Suspended on the slopes of the Saint-Emilion plateau, the well-preserved, verdant surroundings of the estate’s grounds are filled with emblematic landmarks – a mill, a washhouse, rows of cypress trees, etc. The vines have been grown in a single block, with plot division unchanged for nearly 200 years, following the pace of nature. Helped by his horse, the winegrower moulds the ground and reveals it to the light, exposing all its ruggedness. Below the surface, in the quarries, the blend gradually fulfils its promises in barrels and amphorae. Shaped by the tension of the limestone and the power of the clay, the wines boast an earthy character, imbued with remarkable finesse.
