Château Cantenac Brown

Margaux

Château Cantenac Brown is a third Grand Cru Classé 1855. It was founded by the Scottish businessman John Lewis Brown, who bought the château in 1803.

A STORY

In a few words

Brown’s Scottish influence resonates throughout the château, whose unique, neo-Tudor style is instantly recognisable.

The estate is currently owned by the Le Lous family. Thanks to a close-knit collaboration between Tristan Le Lous, the family representative, and José Sanfins, the estate’s general director and winemaker, the highly committed Le Lous family have given a new impetus to Cantenac Brown.

Most vines are located on the prestigious Margaux and Cantenac plateaux.

The Château is surrounded by magnificent grounds, which are an extension of the arboretum originally planted by John Lewis Brown. Over the years, rare tree species have been added, forming a precious collection.
