Description

The tower, beautifully gracing the main courtyard, gave its name to the estate. it is the only trace left of a small fortified castle built in the 12th century by Montesquieu's forefathers. Edouard Kressmann showed some interest for this growth as early as 1871, when he settled in Bordeaux as a wine merchant. Alfred, Edouard's eldest son, bought the estate in 1930. in 1955, Jean inherited the estate which he had managed since 1940 for his father. Tristan and Loïc, his two youngest sons, have now taken over. With the advice of some of the best consultats in Bordeaux, they take it to heart to continue improving the quality of those great wines, claddified in red as well as in white. White wines are surprisingly delicate, complex and age wonderfully. Red wines, like all great Pessac-Leognan, are pure harmony, elegance and finesse.
